Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience for its Williamsville, NY location. The successful candidate will:

Job Overview:

• Represent plaintiffs in foreclosure cases, attending trials, and handling oral arguments on motions.
• Engage in home retention/loss mitigation settlement negotiations.
• Participate in foreclosure settlement conferences and mediations.

Duties:

• Attend trials representing plaintiffs for a foreclosure firm.
• Handle oral arguments on motions related to foreclosure cases.
• Conduct home retention/loss mitigation settlement negotiations.
• Appear at foreclosure settlement conferences and mediations.
• Adapt to changing policies, procedures, and practices within the firm.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in foreclosure law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing policies, procedures, and practices.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

Skills:

• Litigation experience, particularly in foreclosure law.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills.
• Negotiation skills for settlement discussions.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
