Job Overview:

A leading AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking a Corporate Restructuring Associate Attorney to support its nationally recognized restructuring and insolvency practice. The role involves working with a range of high-profile clients in complex in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters, including cross-border proceedings. Ideal for attorneys with 1–5 years of experience, this opportunity offers meaningful client interaction, courtroom exposure, and the chance to work with a collaborative team in a dynamic legal environment.

Location:

  • Miami, FL

Duties:

  • Represent debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, lenders, and asset purchasers in bankruptcy and restructuring matters

  • Argue contested matters in court, including bankruptcy proceedings

  • Draft key legal documents, including first-day motions and plans of reorganization

  • Prepare and negotiate documents related to plan confirmation

  • Facilitate the sale or purchase of distressed assets

  • Manage liquidation proceedings and related legal processes

  • Conduct claims reconciliation and draft objections

  • Participate in settlement negotiations with creditors and other parties-in-interest

  • Maintain direct and substantive communication with clients

Requirements:

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency law

  • Hands-on experience with Chapter 11 proceedings

  • Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated success in courtroom settings and client-facing roles

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (NY, IL, FL, TX, or GA)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and good standing membership with the state bar of the office location

Skills:

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and drafting capabilities

  • Thorough understanding of U.S. bankruptcy law and court procedures

  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
