A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel for their Minneapolis, MN office. This role involves providing expert legal counsel and strategic guidance in complex litigation matters, focusing on product liability and commercial litigation within the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Job Overview:

The Litigation Of Counsel will oversee and contribute to litigation strategy, manage case development, and collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to achieve favorable outcomes.

Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and third parties
  • Supervise and mentor associate attorneys
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants
  • Assist in fact development and conduct depositions
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda
  • Contribute to case strategy development

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally at an AmLaw 100 firm
  • Specialization in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors preferred
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Sound business judgment and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Effective research and problem-solving capabilities
  • JD degree with strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
  • Admission to practice law in New York and Minnesota required

Education and Certifications:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Additional qualifications such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree are advantageous
  • Admission to practice law in New York and Minnesota

Skills:

  • Proficient management skills to supervise and guide junior attorneys
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others
  • Capability to handle physical and sedentary activities, including extended computer work and virtual meetings
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work products
