A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney for their Irvine office. The Employment Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for defending and litigating lawsuits involving a wide range of employment-related claims and agency charges. Additionally, they will advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues. Class Action/PAGA experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations in employment matters, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials, current California Bar admission in good standing, and a solid understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, commitment to excellence, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. The candidate should also possess strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, along with a commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

 

Duties:

  • Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
  • Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues.
  • Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations in employment matters.
  • Handle class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete cases.
  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences.
  • Collaborate with team members on case strategy and client representation.
  • Manage caseload and meet deadlines.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.
  • 4-6 years of experience, with a background in employment law strongly preferred.
  • Experience with class actions and PAGA cases is a plus.
  • Understanding of current agency (state and federal) procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Current California Bar admission in good standing.
