A law firm in Woodbury is seeking an Estate Attorney with a focus on client service, estate planning, estate administration, and elder law. Duties:

  • Meet with clients to assess their estate planning needs and provide tailored legal advice.
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage estate administration processes from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, financial institutions, and courts throughout the estate administration process.
  • Participate in marketing efforts, social media projects, and community events to promote the firm's services.
  • Provide concierge service to clients, offering personalized assistance and support.
  • Support Medicaid intake, processing, and review with the Department of Social Services (DSS).

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 1+ years of experience in elder law, estate planning, and estate administration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Client service orientation with a focus on meeting client needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • The desire for professional growth and education in financial services and accounting.
