Job Overview:

The Finance and Transactions Associate Attorney will primarily focus on commercial finance transactions, including drafting loan documents, managing loan transactions, and handling various legal matters related to finance and transactions. This role requires 4-7 years of commercial finance experience at a law firm, strong academic credentials, and admission to the New York Bar.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting loan documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and promissory notes.
  • Managing loan transactions from inception to closing, including due diligence, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Providing legal counsel and support to clients on finance and transactional matters.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to support transactional initiatives and address client concerns.
  • Managing multiple matters simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys and stakeholders within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of commercial finance experience at a law firm.
  • Strong understanding of finance and transactional matters, particularly in the context of loan transactions.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar or eligibility for admission in good standing.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar.
