A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Healthcare Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in healthcare law, primarily focusing on regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

  • Provide legal advice and support on healthcare regulatory compliance matters.
  • Advise on corporate practice of medicine and state law considerations for multi-state digital health practices.
  • Handle federal, commercial, and self-insured payor reimbursement issues.
  • Assist with value-based care and accountable care organizations.
  • Guide on fraud and abuse matters, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark law, False Claims Act, fee-splitting, and other state fraud and abuse laws.
  • Experience with FDA regulations is preferred.
  • Strong interest in healthcare technology, including artificial intelligence, healthcare IT, telehealth/telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, wearables, and health apps.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts and compliance policies.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and responses.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide strategic legal advice.
  • Stay updated on relevant healthcare laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (or ability to waive in).
  • 3-7 years of experience in healthcare law, focusing on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
