Duties

• Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and handling trial proceedings

• Provide legal counsel to clients and develop case strategies

• Draft and review legal documents including briefs, motions, and pleadings

• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other platforms

• Communicate consistently and compassionately with clients

• Maintain ethical and professional standards at all times

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school

• Active member of the Tennessee State Bar

• Minimum of 3 years of legal experience (criminal law strongly preferred)

• Former prosecutorial experience highly desirable

• Experience in law firms or government legal departments is a plus

• Ability to manage a high caseload independently

• Comfortable using legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
