Job Overview:

A law firm is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Criminal Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of Criminal Defense experience and possess the skills necessary to handle complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels. Job Duties:

  • Advise clients on their legal rights in various matters and draft legal documents related to their cases.
  • Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advice on optimal legal strategies.
  • Manage court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and legal research.
  • Analyze probable case outcomes based on knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Effectively manage the workload of assigned cases.
  • Provide legal analysis to clients to determine potential case benefits.
  • Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.
  • Prepare clients for depositions, defining essential goals of case strategy.
  • Gather information from witnesses and relevant experts supporting client positions.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Criminal Defense experience.
  • Proven experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Team player mentality, open to collaboration and strategizing with fellow associates.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to strategize and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
