Guardianship Attorney

A law firm in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking a dedicated Guardianship Attorney to assist the senior attorney in reviewing petitions. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, exceptional research and analytical abilities, and demonstrate compassion and understanding when working with vulnerable individuals and their families.

Duties:

• Assist the senior attorney in reviewing guardianship petitions.
• Conduct legal research to support guardianship cases.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend court hearings and proceedings.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding guardianship matters.
• Collaborate with the legal team on case strategy and preparation.

Requirements:

• Active membership in the Bar of the state of Florida.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Proven experience in guardianship law or related fields.
• Strong understanding of legal principles and procedures related to guardianship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with clients.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the state of Florida.
