Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity group. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-profile corporate transactions, including private equity and M&A matters, within a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Location:

  • New York, NY

Duties:

  • Handle corporate transactional matters, with a focus on private equity and mergers & acquisitions.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.

  • Conduct due diligence and advise clients on corporate governance and compliance matters.

  • Work closely with clients and other team members to structure and execute deals effectively.

  • Provide strategic counsel on legal and business issues related to transactions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work.

  • Specialized experience in private equity and/or M&A transactions.

  • Prior experience at a nationally recognized law firm.

  • Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Client-focused and team-oriented approach.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in New York or the ability to obtain admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
