Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney to join their team in East Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in civil litigation in state and federal courts. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with experience in conducting and defending depositions, managing case dockets, and appearing in court.

Job Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations, performing work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions.
  • Proven ability to manage a case docket.
  • Demonstrated experience appearing in court.
  • Experience with multi-district litigation is a plus.
  • Trial experience is highly desirable.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
