The successful candidate will handle complex litigation cases, collaborating with a team of legal professionals to provide top-notch representation to clients. They will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing for trial, and participating in client meetings, depositions, and negotiations.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex and challenging litigation cases, representing clients in a variety of legal matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to develop case strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze legal issues, and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for trial, including trial preparation, witness interviews, and evidence gathering.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, negotiations, and court hearings.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and effectively communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues on complex litigation, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification motions, writs, and appeals.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is organized.
  • Present cases effectively in the courtroom, demonstrating familiarity with courtroom procedures.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 6-8 years of experience in litigation.
  • Active license to practice law in California and in good standing with the CA State Bar.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
  • Trial preparation experience, including case strategy development, witness interviews, and evidence gathering.
  • Familiarity with courtroom procedures and effective presentation skills.
  • Excellent case management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
