Job Overview:
A labor and employment law firm is seeking a junior-level Associate Attorney to support its growing plaintiff-side employment litigation practice. This remote, full-time position is designed for attorneys with a strong interest in employment law, particularly in representing employees in matters related to discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations. The position provides hands-on case management experience, client interaction, mentorship, and long-term professional growth opportunities. Applicants must be located in or planning to relocate to New England or New York.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to assess case strength

  • Draft litigation documents including complaints, administrative charges, and legal correspondence

  • Perform legal research and draft supporting memoranda

  • Manage all aspects of litigation with partner supervision

  • Handle negotiations with opposing counsel and participate in mediations

  • Appear in agency and court hearings (travel within region may be required)

  • Maintain organized case files and ensure timely updates to supervising attorneys

  • Engage in professional development and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Requirements:

  • Minimum UBE score of 270 OR recent bar exam taker with a 3.5+ law school GPA

  • Currently licensed or eligible to be admitted to practice in NY or any New England state

  • Must reside in or have relocation plans to one of the qualifying states (MA, NH, VT, CT, RI, ME, or NY)

  • Reliable access to a private, professional home workspace

  • Availability for occasional same-day regional travel

  • Ability to manage long-term, complex projects and meet multiple deadlines

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Law school GPA and undergraduate GPA should be included in application

Certifications:

  • Bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction preferred

  • Willingness to apply for admission in additional jurisdictions (with firm support)

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy abilities

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities

  • Persuasive communicator, comfortable interacting with clients
