A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with the following responsibilities:

Job Overview:

  • Primary responsibilities involve communicating with clients, supervising associates, working with experts, assisting with fact development and depositions, reviewing and drafting discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda, and helping develop case strategy.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained while practicing at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Experience with product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
  • A science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) must be considered.
  • Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • J.D. degree.
  • Bar admission.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm experience.

Education & Certifications:

  • J.D. degree.
  • Bar admission.

Skills:

  • 8+ years of litigation experience.
