Mid-level or Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Mid-level or Senior Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-10 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate should possess substantial litigation and/or trial experience, strong legal writing skills, a proactive attitude, a strong business sense, and excellent communication skills.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, including drafting, responding to discovery requests, and conducting document review.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop a case strategy.
• Supervise junior associates and legal staff as needed.

Requirements:

• 2-10 years of litigation experience.
• Substantial litigation and/or trial experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing skills.
• Proactive attitude with a strong business sense.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Arizona State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
