A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with at least 8 years of expertise in employment law, including handling a variety of litigation matters and providing legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in employment disputes, contract issues, and workplace policies, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid or part-time capacity if preferred.

Duties:

  • Handle a wide range of employment law matters, including litigation and counseling.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic guidance to clients on issues such as harassment, wrongful termination, workplace discrimination, contract disputes, and whistleblower protection.
  • Review and advise on employee handbooks, employment agreements, separation agreements, and other workplace policies.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, and arbitration, ensuring strong advocacy throughout employment disputes.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law trends and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop effective strategies for dispute resolution.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in employment litigation and counseling.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in employment law, including handling a range of employment-related disputes.
  • Ability to manage complex legal cases and advise clients on routine workplace matters such as agreements and policies.
  • Experience with litigation, including preparation for hearings, trials, and settlements.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with ethics and conduct codes relevant to legal practice.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Expertise in employment law and litigation strategies.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in employment agreements and separation documents.
  • Ability to advise clients on legal compliance and workplace policies.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a hybrid or flexible work environment.
