The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, a proven track record of successfully handling cases, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. This role involves developing case strategies, representing clients in court, and fostering positive relationships with clients while providing excellent customer service. Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and child support.
  • Understand that clients' problems go beyond legal issues and provide empathetic support.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and offer excellent customer service.
  • Develop case strategies and provide guidance to paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Prepare and present cases in court, as well as negotiate settlements when appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in family law legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a licensed attorney in the State of North Carolina.
  • 3-5 years of family law experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a full caseload.
  • Demonstrated success in representing clients in family law matters.
  • Ability to quickly learn additional software platforms, such as MyCase and Dropbox.
