A law firm is seeking a Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office. The Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling real property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice law in New York State and possess strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in real property tax litigation proceedings.
  • Handle assessment challenges and valuation disputes.
  • Provide legal counsel on eminent domain matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to property tax and condemnation issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York State.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in real property, tax, or litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling real property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
