A law firm in Columbus, OH, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in family law. The candidate will be responsible for drafting legal pleadings and discovery, appearing in hearings, trials, and court appearances, communicating and meeting with clients, and conducting legal research.

 

Duties:

  • Draft legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Appear in hearings, trials, and court appearances on behalf of clients.
  • Communicate and meet with clients to discuss case progress and strategy.
  • Conduct legal research to support case arguments and strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case preparation and strategy.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Handle client inquiries and provide legal advice as necessary.
  • Attend meetings with opposing counsel and participate in negotiations.
  • Assist in case settlements and resolution agreements.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in the state of Ohio.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal document drafting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar license in the state of Ohio.
