Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Columbus is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience, preferably family law or trial experience. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor Degree and demonstrate a strong interest in family law practice.

Duties:

• Assist in various aspects of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and domestic violence matters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on family law issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediation sessions, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case strategy and development.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.
• Attend continuing legal education (CLE) seminars and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in family law practice.
• Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) Degree from an accredited law school.
• Preferably 1-3 years of experience in family law or trial practice.
• Admission to the State Bar of Ohio.
• Strong interest in family law practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
