Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join its New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in litigation, with experience handling complex matters in both state and federal courts. This opportunity is suited for a motivated attorney with strong writing, research, and courtroom skills who can manage discovery, draft pleadings, and contribute meaningfully to litigation strategy.

Location:

  • Florham Park, NJ

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda for complex litigation matters

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis

  • Manage traditional and electronic discovery processes

  • Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings

  • Collaborate with internal teams on case strategy and litigation planning

  • Maintain case files, calendars, and compliance with court deadlines

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of litigation experience

  • Prior experience at a mid-to-large law firm preferred

  • Strong understanding of procedural and substantive legal principles

  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases

  • Federal clerkship experience preferred

  • Must be in good standing with the New Jersey Bar

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research platforms and litigation software

  • Skilled in discovery strategy and e-discovery tools

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach
