Funds and Securities Attorney

The law firm in Kansas City is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Funds and Securities Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with public companies, startups, founders, and venture capital firms, specializing in company formation, corporate governance, securities law, angel investments, and venture capital financings. Work closely with public companies, startups, founders, and venture capital firms on matters related to company formation, corporate governance, and securities law. Provide expertise in angel investments and venture capital financings to support clients in navigating complex legal landscapes.

Demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of securities and private investment fund formation.

Duties:

• Collaborate with clients to facilitate company formation, ensuring compliance with relevant legal frameworks.
• Advise on corporate governance matters, ensuring best practices are implemented.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of securities law developments.
• Draft and review legal documents related to angel investments and venture capital financings.
• Provide counsel on regulatory compliance and risk management.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in securities and private investment fund formation.
• Strong academic credentials, reflecting exceptional performance in relevant coursework.
