Tax Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in tax issues about public finance and infrastructure finance transactions. The ideal candidate should possess general experience in federal tax matters, with additional knowledge in tax credits, section 501c3 organizations, financial products, and IRS audits being advantageous. Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on tax matters related to public finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Conduct research and analysis of federal tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in drafting legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and tax filings.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to develop tax planning and compliance strategies.
• Represent clients in IRS audits and other tax-related proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience focusing on tax issues, focusing on public finance and infrastructure finance transactions.
• Strong understanding of federal tax laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
