Job Overview:

The Attorney will handle real estate finance transactions, including loan origination, asset management, and workout matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, extensive experience in large law firms, and exceptional communication skills.

Duties:

• Manage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing activities.
• Handle loan origination work for structured commercial real estate finance transactions, such as mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Provide expertise in asset management and workout matters related to real estate finance.
• Run transactions on behalf of lenders, ensuring compliance and efficiency throughout the process.
• Execute secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies as necessary.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of experience practicing real estate finance law in a large law firm setting.
• Solid experience in real estate finance transactions, including loan origination and asset management.
• Proficiency in secondary market repurchase facility work and other exit strategies.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance principles and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in mezzanine loans and preferred equity transactions.
• Familiarity with the New York City real estate market.

Education:
