A law firm located in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is seeking a motivated Employment Professional Liability Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of legal experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in representing employers in various employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills are highly valued for this position.

 

Duties:

  • Represent employers in a wide range of employment litigation matters, including but not limited to wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and prepare legal arguments.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings and proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements and resolve disputes.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations as necessary.
  • Assist in conducting discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, preparing witnesses, and reviewing documents.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law issues, compliance matters, and risk management strategies.
  • Stay updated on developments in employment law, regulations, and case law to ensure the provision of informed legal advice and representation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing with relevant bar association(s).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in employment law or litigation.
  • Strong interest in representing employers in employment litigation matters.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
