Job Overview

A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Counsel to join its Dallas office. This position is ideal for a seasoned real estate attorney looking to handle a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including leasing, development, construction, and title diligence. The role offers flexibility for full-time or reduced-hour arrangements and is well-suited for candidates who enjoy project ownership and client interaction. This is a counsel-level position and is not on a partnership track.

Duties

  • Handle commercial leasing matters for office, retail, and industrial properties

  • Provide legal guidance on real estate development and construction projects

  • Conduct title analysis and oversee title/due diligence reviews

  • Coordinate and manage real estate transactions from inception through closing

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution

  • Draft and negotiate complex lease agreements, easements, and related real estate documents

  • Support clients in managing risk and compliance in real estate-related matters

Requirements

  • 8+ years of legal experience in commercial real estate law

  • Significant experience in leasing, development, and construction matters

  • Proficiency in title review and real estate due diligence

  • Ability to manage projects independently while coordinating with internal teams

  • Comfortable with direct client interaction and advising on sophisticated legal issues

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Texas, or eligibility for prompt admission
