Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a full-time, partnership-track Real Estate Associate to join its Dallas-based practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate transactions, including mortgage and mezzanine financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. Ideal candidates will bring 3–6 years of experience, a strong academic background, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role is suited for attorneys interested in long-term career growth and direct client involvement within a dynamic real estate group.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Handle a range of real estate transactions on both the debt and equity sides

  • Represent clients in mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions

  • Advise on equity-side matters such as acquisitions, dispositions, and joint venture arrangements

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to structure and execute complex real estate deals

  • Conduct due diligence, draft and review transactional documents, and manage closing processes

  • Contribute to team strategy and client development initiatives

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in transactional matters

  • Experience in either debt-side (mortgage, mezzanine) or equity-side (acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures) transactions

  • Strong transactional drafting and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Demonstrated academic excellence

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas Bar preferred

  • Must obtain Texas Bar membership within one year of employment
