Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Business Restructuring & Insolvency Associate Attorney in New York, New York. The successful candidate will join a team recognized for handling significant bankruptcy cases and advising on corporate distress issues globally.

Duties

• Advise clients on complex bankruptcy transactions and litigation.
• Provide counsel on financial restructurings, both in-court and out-of-court.
• Assist with distressed debt investments and distressed M&A transactions.
• Take on increased levels of responsibility for client matters.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of law firm experience in business restructuring and insolvency law.
• Strong understanding of financial restructurings and bankruptcy law.
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills.
• Admitted to the state bar or eligible to waive in.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• State bar admission or eligibility to waive in.
