Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial restructuring to join the Finance Department in New York, NY. The role involves representing a diverse range of stakeholders in domestic and international workouts, restructurings, and in-court bankruptcy proceedings.

Duties

• Advise stakeholders involved with financially distressed businesses.
• Develop creative strategies for complex restructuring and insolvency matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver bespoke solutions.
• Engage in creditor compromise procedures and security enforcements.
• Manage debt rescheduling and liability management transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial restructuring.
• Experience with cross-border matters is preferred.
• Strong understanding of innovative financial structures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
