Job Overview:

A leading national law firm is seeking a highly experienced International Estate Planning Attorney to join its Private Client Department. This role focuses on advising high-net-worth individuals and multinational families on sophisticated cross-border estate, tax, and wealth planning matters. Location:

  • Greenwich, CT

Duties:

  • Advise U.S. and international clients on cross-border estate and tax planning

  • Develop strategies for wealth management and succession planning

  • Structure and review foreign trusts and asset-holding vehicles

  • Counsel clients on pre-immigration and expatriation planning

  • Assist with planning for the acquisition of U.S. property by non-residents

  • Ensure compliance with international reporting and tax regulations (FATCA, FBAR, etc.)

  • Collaborate with attorneys across disciplines on Family Office and private client services

  • Maintain a high level of client service, communication, and confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in international estate planning

  • Demonstrated experience with high-net-worth individuals and multinational families

  • Proven ability to advise on foreign trusts, pre-immigration tax planning, and U.S. inbound investment structures

  • Experience with tax compliance obligations for clients with international assets

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex client matters independently

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong client-facing and consultative capabilities

  • Effective legal research and drafting skills

  • Team-oriented mindset with collaborative working style
