Personal Injury Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in various legal proceedings, managing case files, supervising support staff, and conducting thorough legal research.

Duties:

• Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
• Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation
• Settle on the client's behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretary
• Perform research on case law and premises liability and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• A J.D. degree is required
• Must be computer proficient

Experience:

• 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, or civil litigation practice areas is needed
• 2-5 years of successful personal injury litigation and trial case experience

Skills:

• Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative.
• Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred
