A law firm in Boston is seeking a Mid-level Asset Management and Investment Funds Associate Attorney to join their global practice. The candidate will work with premier clients, receiving active mentoring and opportunities for growth.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in matters related to asset management and investment funds.
  • Assist in advising investment companies, investment advisers, and board members on U.S. federal securities law compliance.
  • Handle matters arising under the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced lawyers to manage diverse client portfolios effectively.

 

Requirements:

  • Four to six years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a top-tier law firm or in-house at an asset manager.
  • Strong understanding of open-end (mutual) funds, closed-end funds, and exchange traded funds (ETFs).
  • Proficiency in U.S. federal securities law, particularly related to investment companies and advisers.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters independently and as part of a team.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Massachusetts or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
