A law firm seeks an experienced and proactive Pre-Litigation Employment Supervising Attorney to join its team in downtown Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Employment Law and be adept at managing a team, analyzing legal claims, and assisting senior attorneys in the pre-litigation phase. Duties:

  • Review and analyze case files to determine case value and potential for litigation.
  • Review and synthesize documents related to employment law claims.
  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing cases for litigation.
  • Draft legal documents including motions, correspondence, and demands.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and client representation.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Manage law clerks and paralegals in the preparation of cases.
  • Negotiate settlements and handle case resolution before litigation.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff, ensuring efficient case management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Employment Law, specifically in pre-litigation matters.
  • Strong understanding of employment law claims and their evaluation.
  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience handling settlements and client communications.
  • Ability to commute to downtown Los Angeles daily.
  • Reliable and punctual with a proactive approach to case management.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar (California).

Skills:

  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Proficient in legal writing and motion preparation.
  • Strong case management skills.
