Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking two Associate Attorneys with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its Environmental, Health & Safety practice. These positions involve advising clients on a broad spectrum of environmental matters, including enforcement defense, regulatory compliance, litigation, and due diligence in corporate transactions. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys looking to expand their expertise in environmental law within a dynamic and supportive legal environment. 

Location:

  • Atlanta, GA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on environmental enforcement and compliance with federal and state regulations

  • Represent clients in environmental litigation, including administrative and judicial proceedings

  • Conduct environmental due diligence in connection with corporate transactions

  • Provide guidance on a wide range of environmental statutes and regulatory frameworks

  • Draft memoranda, regulatory filings, pleadings, and client advisories

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop legal strategies and solutions

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in environmental law, including:

    • Enforcement actions

    • Regulatory compliance

    • Environmental litigation

    • Transactional due diligence

  • Demonstrated interest in environmental, health, and safety legal issues

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Excellent academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction (Georgia or Washington, D.C.) required

  • Additional bar admissions are advantageous

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when needed

  • Experience with complex regulatory frameworks and litigation procedures
