Trial Attorney - Toxic Tort

Job Overview
A nationally recognized plaintiffs' litigation firm is seeking a highly experienced Trial Attorney to join its toxic tort litigation team in Los Angeles. This role is suited for a litigator with a strong track record in civil litigation and courtroom advocacy, particularly in toxic exposure or mass tort cases. The successful candidate will manage complex cases from intake through trial, including strategy development and direct client interaction. This is a hybrid position offering both flexibility and a high level of engagement in active trial work.

Duties

• Manage a full caseload of toxic tort litigation matters from inception through resolution

• Conduct depositions, motion practice, and coordinate expert witness preparation

• Develop and implement trial strategies

• Prepare trial materials and serve as lead or second chair at trial

• Communicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and experts

• Evaluate case facts to support negotiation and settlement efforts

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil litigation, experience in toxic tort litigation preferred

• Proven background in toxic tort or mass tort litigation (preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to lead or support trial proceedings

• Skilled in handling a high-volume, fast-paced litigation practice

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in teams

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of California (required)
