A law firm in Oakland, CA, is seeking a Mid-level Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting discovery, and participating in hearings and trials.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with all aspects of commercial litigation cases
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of commercial litigation experience
  • Admission to the State Bar of California

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of California

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Experience with drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
