Associate Attorney needed for Newport Beach office

Job Overview: A law firm based in Newport Beach, CA, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney focusing on family law. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research and writing skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. This position requires active licensure with the California Bar Association and 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Duties:

• Manage and prioritize multiple cases simultaneously.
• Draft pleadings, letters, memoranda, and other legal documents
• Communicate effectively with judicial staff, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Contact clients for information and trial preparation
• Assist with trial preparation and actively participate in court proceedings

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience as a practicing attorney
• Active license in good standing with the California Bar Association
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Familiarity with family law procedures and practices
• Professional demeanor, self-starter, and detail-oriented
• Experience with Smokeball and DissoMaster Suite is a plus

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of California
