A law firm in Riverside is seeking a General Municipal Law Attorney with 3+ years of experience in areas including General Municipal Law, Code Enforcement, Water Law, and Sanitation District Law. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement option and an annual telecommute budget to support remote work. Attorneys are expected to meet a billable hour requirement of 1850 and will receive competitive health insurance benefits, 401(k) with a partial match, and eligibility for annual discretionary and billable hour bonuses.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to municipalities, local governments, and special districts
  • Advise clients on matters related to general municipal law, including land use, zoning, and public contracting
  • Handle code enforcement matters and represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings
  • Assist with legal issues pertaining to water law, including water rights, regulations, and disputes
  • Address legal matters concerning sanitation districts, including compliance, governance, and litigation

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • 3+ years of experience in General Municipal Law, Code Enforcement, Water Law, and Sanitation District Law
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and satisfaction

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Active license to practice law in California
