A law firm located in Santa Monica is seeking a Private Equity Resource Attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US private equity corporate/transactional practice. The ideal candidate will work closely with the M&A resource attorney and knowledge management team to support the private equity (PE) practice group by assisting with data management, document drafting, legal research, knowledge sharing, and client development efforts. The Private Equity Resource Attorney will play a vital role in supporting the PE practice group by managing resources, drafting template documents, monitoring legal developments, developing training materials, and collaborating with various internal teams. This role requires a solid understanding of private equity transactions, strong drafting skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with input and maintenance of M&A/PE data and experience
  • Prepare drafts or revise existing template documents for the PE practice group
  • Curate and organize forms, precedents, and other know-how for the PE group
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to PE practice and industry verticals
  • Develop and maintain internal landing page for the PE group
  • Coordinate with legal education team to prepare content for associate trainings and firmwide training efforts
  • Collaborate with marketing team on firm PE promotion and content creation for pitches and teach-ins
  • Work with quantitative analyst group on matters specific to PE funds and transactions
  • Assist attorneys with day-to-day requests for precedents, templates, and resources
  • Contribute to resource, knowledge management, and practice innovation projects

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with 7+ years of experience in a US PE corporate/transactional practice
  • Mastery of substantive areas of practice relevant to PE, including M&A, portfolio company management, equity compensation, and M&A financing
  • Strong drafting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of industries regularly advised by the firm
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong intellectual ability, interpersonal skills, and technical skills
  • Organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
