A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Santa Fe. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on projects across the United States. They will have the opportunity to work on a variety of agreements related to renewable energy projects, including power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on renewable energy projects
  • Draft and negotiate various agreements related to project development and finance
  • Provide legal advice and support on project financing, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on renewable energy regulations and industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project development and financing
  • Assist with due diligence and risk assessment for renewable energy projects

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, or commercial contracts
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state Bar

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of renewable energy regulations and industry practices
  • Experience drafting and negotiating project development and finance agreements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
