A law firm is seeking a Patents Patent Agent (AI Electrical Engineering) for their Washington, DC office.

 

Job Overview:

The Patents Patent Agent will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, collaborating with inventors to assess patentability of AI technologies, conducting prior art searches, and staying updated on AI technology and patent laws.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications
  • Collaborating with inventors to assess patentability of AI technologies
  • Conducting prior art searches and freedom-to-operate analyses
  • Maintaining knowledge of the latest AI technology and patent laws

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or related technical field involving AI/ML
  • Experience with AI models, neural networks, deep learning
  • Experience with AI/ML theory: backpropagation, regularization, optimization; preprocessing data, selecting features, training/tuning models; deploying models to production environments
  • Domain experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, natural language processing, wireless communications, computer vision, or related AI fields preferred
  • Experience liaising with clients to develop and manage portfolios
  • Registered to practice with the USPTO

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

 

Education:
