The ideal candidate will be adept at negotiating, structuring, and documenting secured and unsecured financing transactions across various areas, including commercial mortgages, acquisition financings, asset-based financings, senior and mezzanine debt, subordinated debt, cross-border financings, and opinion letters. Duties:

  • Represent clients, including borrowers and lenders, in complex middle-market commercial lending transactions.
  • Negotiate, structure, and document secured and unsecured financing transactions.
  • Handle commercial mortgage transactions and acquisition financings.
  • Manage asset-based financings and transactions involving senior, mezzanine, and subordinated debt.
  • Oversee cross-border financings and provide opinion letters.

Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed attorney in New York with expertise in Banking and Finance law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Proven track record of successfully representing clients in commercial lending transactions.
  • Strong negotiation and documentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial mortgages, acquisition financings, asset-based financings, senior and mezzanine debt, subordinated debt, cross-border financings, and opinion letters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar membership.

Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of Banking and Finance law.
