Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks experienced attorneys to join its Litigation team in Atlanta, GA. Ideal candidates will have 1-5 years of practice experience in Insurance Coverage and/or General Liability and must be licensed to practice law in Georgia.

Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
• 1-5 years of practice experience in Insurance Coverage and/or General Liability.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse clientele and colleagues.
• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn database management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent.

Certifications

• Bar license in Georgia.
