Labor & Employment Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California licensed Labor & Employment Associate with 3-6 years of experience for its San Francisco, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a wide range of employment issues, including litigation and class action cases.

Duties

• Handle single-plaintiff employment litigation, including discrimination and wrongful termination cases.
• Engage in class action and PAGA litigation.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions; argue motions in court.
• Take and defend depositions; conduct administrative hearings.
• Draft workplace policies and conduct employee training sessions.
• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to employers.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
• California bar admission is required.
• Strong writing, communication, and research skills.
• Detail-oriented with an excellent work ethic.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.

Skills

• Experience in drafting legal documents and arguing motions.
• Ability to conduct depositions and administrative hearings.
• Proficient in providing legal counsel and drafting policies.
