The ideal candidate should have legal experience commensurate with their time in practice and a preference for general property, M&A, and/or commercial transactions experience in the energy sector. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support in various energy-related matters, including property, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and commercial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and due diligence for energy sector projects.
  • Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients, business teams, and legal colleagues to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide legal guidance and advice on energy-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 0-3 years of legal experience, with experience commensurate with the candidate's time in practice.
  • Preferably, experience in general property, M&A, and/or commercial transactions within the energy sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, business teams, and legal professionals.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in West Virginia or eligibility to obtain prompt licensure.
