Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Financial Institutions Attorney to join their team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on regulatory compliance, operations, and general corporate matters for financial institutions, including banks, credit unions, and non-bank financial entities.

Duties:

  • Represent financial institutions in regulatory compliance matters, operational issues, and general corporate transactions.
  • Assist clients with consumer and commercial regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Review and draft customer-facing disclosures and agreements to ensure legal compliance and protect the interests of the financial institutions.
  • Work on general corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, permissible activities, and regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on various financial and corporate issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an attorney, focusing on financial institutions, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
  • Membership in the Washington State Bar Association or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • Oregon State Bar and/or California State Bar license is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
  • Oregon State Bar and/or California State Bar license is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial institutions' regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent knowledge of consumer and commercial regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in reviewing and drafting customer-facing disclosures and agreements.
  • Experience in handling general corporate transactions for financial entities.
