Attorney needed for Metairie office

A law firm in Metairie is seeking an Attorney with 3-5 years of experience, preferably 5+ years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana and possess strong analytical, research, and communication skills. Experience in various areas of litigation and trial experience is a plus.

Duties:

• Draft initial reports, interim reports, pre-trial reports, trials, and appellate activity
• Draft discovery requests and responses
• Draft and respond to discovery-related motions
• Attend court appearances regularly
• Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and expert witnesses
• Draft motions for summary judgment

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana
• 3-5 years of experience, preferably 5+ years of litigation experience
• Louisiana licensed attorney in one or more of the following areas: general liability, products liability, auto, employment, professional lines, construction defect, and general commercial litigation
• Experience conducting investigations, taking and defending depositions, managing motion practice, and trial experience is a plus

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Louisiana Bar Association membership
