A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney in Boulder. The Renewable Energy Project Development and Finance Associate Attorney will work with clients in the clean energy industry on projects across the United States. They will primarily handle legal matters related to project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts.

 

Duties:

  • Work with clients in the clean energy industry on project development and finance matters
  • Handle legal aspects of power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contracts, equipment supply contracts, and construction contracts
  • Provide legal advice and support on renewable energy projects
  • Draft and review legal documents and agreements
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex legal matters

 

Requirements:

  • 2-7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in the renewable energy industry preferred

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state Bar

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of project development, finance, and commercial contracts
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
