A law firm in Santa Ana is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorney to join their Product, Tort, and Insurance Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of litigation experience in defending insurance coverage and/or extracontractual matters. Strong candidates will possess excellent research and writing skills and have experience in writing coverage opinions, investigating insurance claims, handling discovery, attending court appearances, and assisting at trial.

 

Duties:

  • Write coverage opinions and assess insurance claims.
  • Investigate insurance claims and gather relevant evidence.
  • Handle written discovery and conduct depositions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and substantive legal documents.
  • Attend mediations and court appearances.
  • Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 5-7 years of litigation experience defending insurance coverage and/or extracontractual matters.
  • Good academic record.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
